Magnificent Collection of
Flowering Plants for
The "Magnificent" Collection of Plants my patrons will find a very desirable one, and as I offer it at a very reasonable price, I
trust that many of you will embrace this opportunity of purchasing this collection. It will be sure to please you.
New Ever-Blooming BABY PRIMROSE.
This is the freest blooming plant we know of, blooming continuously throughout the
entire season. Plants in very small pots have from fifteen to twenty sprays of lovely light
pink flowers on stems ten to twelve inches high at one time, and plants in four inch pots
have from twenty-five to fifty at one time, "lasting in bloom fully four weeks without fading,
and continually sending out new sprays all over the plant, making it one of the most desira-
ble plants for the house ever introduced. It is a very rapid grower and the easiest grown
of all the Primrose family.
Fuchsia, BLACK PRINCE.
The grandest of all Winter bloomers. It is really one of the most charming and desira-
ble Fuchsias in cultivation, and should be better known. It is a genuine Winter-bloomer,
and all who know it value it very highly for this quality. The habit of the plant is erect
and compact, presenting a neat and attractive appearance as a pot plant. The fine, star-
shaped flowers are produced in profusion and begin when the plants are quite young. The
tube and sepals are light sky blue. It blooms quite freely, plants in two-inch pots frequently
producing flowers; but large plants will bloom more freely and produce larger clusters. We
have seen a plant of this Fuchsia, six feet high and five feet through, and by actual county it
was loaded with over five thousand of its bright blooms. It is of the easiest culture, requir-
ing the same treatment as other Fuchsias. No plant will attract more attention than a well
grown specimen of Fuchsia, Black Prince. Its clusters of long, tube-like drooping brilliant
flowers, and very large, green foliage give it a most striking appearance.
Th's plant is for house culture during Winter or Summer, or for planting outside dur-
ing Summer. It blooms at a!l times of the year. The plants branch freely and flower pro-
fusely, commencing to ploom when not more than a foot high. As a specimen plant for
large pots it has no equal only in the Brugmansia. Its flowers are very large, often 8 to 10
inches across, opening double, and of such crimson-scarlet color that it can be seen at a long
distance. They can be wintered in a criiar or pit with perfect safety, and if one does not
care to grow them all winter, one should have one or two for Summer display. No plant is
6urer to grow and thrive under any treatment than this, and few are so satisfactory.
BABY PRIMROSE.

dark green. A single plant on August ist, this past Summer had 590 clusters of flowers on it. The same plant, Dec. 1st, had 350 clusters of flowers on, which
proves it one of the most persistent bloomers and does equally well Winter and Summer. Nothing so easily grown or gives as much satisfaction as Lantana.
Cyperus Altemafoliiss.--UmbreIIa Plant.
This is a plant of the easiest culture, and a large specimen is as hand-
some as a Palm for decoration. It makes a handsome plant or can be used
j^S in baskets or vases, making a charming effect. It will grow luxuriantly in
water, and is, therefore indispensable for aquariums or fountains.
arcy
This violet is entirely hardy, a deep violet-purple color, and delicionsly
fragrant. It surpasses the well-known "Marie Louise" Violet in richness
of color, being many shades darker, and far excels it in its delightful color.
It will grow and bloom in any garden and in any situation, Nothing better
for cemetery planting than the Hardy Double Russian Violet.

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.

Note: This tag applies to scans and photocopies only. For photographs of public domain originals taken from afar, {{PD-Art}} may be applicable. See Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
