Description
Italiano: Sala del Tesoro, 1503-1506 - Palazzo Costabili, Ferrara. Il volto delle due sorelle, Beatrice (a sinistra) e Isabella d'Este (a destra), è stato riconosciuto nelle due spettatrici che, teneramente abbracciate, si affacciano dall'affresco. Poiché risalente agli anni 1503-1506, esso costituirebbe un omaggio degli Este alla congiunta ormai defunta. Identificazione che circola da molti anni, sostenuta da diversi storici e critici d'arte che vi hanno riconosciuto il visetto tondo e simpatico di Beatrice, seppure acconciata secondo la moda mantovana di inizio Cinquecento e non più col tipico coazzone; e il volto di Isabella vagamente somigliante alla Isabella in Nero di Tiziano.
