Beaker barbed and tanged arrowhead (dorsal)
Description
English: Incomplete flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, arrow-shaped in plan and lozenge-shaped in profile and section. The tip of the arrowhead is missing and the tang has also snapped, possibly having been broken off during use. The two barbs extend beyond the end of the tang. The arrowhead is bifacially worked throughout on both the dorsal and ventral faces.

The flint is a dark grey-brown colour, and slightly translucent. The length to breadth ratio is about 4:3.

Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples on page 125, Fig.5.110, Sutton Type Bk, and on page 147, Fig.5.133, No.F175, which are dated to the Beaker period.
