Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Beadlet anemones in a rock pool, Portheras Cove. I think that these cnidarians are beadlet anemones (Actinia equina). When uncovered by the tides, beadlet anemones retract their tentacles and look like small beads of jelly. When they are submerged in rock pools (as they are here) they have their tentacles extended in search of food.
