| Description |
English: Beacon Pool - 1 Looking east across the pond to the cathedral spires in the distance. Beacon Park was originally low lying poorly drained pasture alongside the Leamonsley Brook, with areas given over to osier beds. The area was developed by George Hand as part of the Beacon House estate from 1800 and by 1880 the parkland had been extended to cover almost 100 acres.
