Summary

[edit]
Description
Français : Two fascinating pictures - unknown submarine and unknown location. What I have found is that after World War 1 a batch of submarines was being towed to breakers in France and some broke free and were beached. One of these was U118, though I don't believe from the pictures on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SM_U-118 that it is this one. There are some great records on www.wrecksite.eu/wreck-report.aspx?cau=5&typ=5 and another possibility could be U131 - pic at www.wrecksite.eu/imgBrowser.aspx?11789
