Title
English: Beach at Redondo, ca. 1915
Description
English: Redondo, on Puget Sound's East Passage, was settled in 1881 as Stone's Landing. By 1912, it was a beach resort with a population of 200. For 25 cents, people traveling from Seattle or Tacoma could catch a ride to Redondo on the twice-daily mail boat. Once there, they could rent boats, swim, walk on the beach or eat a meal at Ryan's Inn.

This photo, probably taken during the 1910s, shows the beach at Redondo on Puget Sound. People enjoy the sunny day as they walk along the beach or go out in boats. Ryans's Inn, a restaurant and hotel, is the large white building in the background.
