Description
English: A traditional interior in the Gaziantep City Museum, showing embroidery work and small weaving, and the peeling (and eating) of ‘Antep fıstığı’ (Gaziantep nut = pistachio).

The dresses of the mannequins are local traditional clothing, mid-20th century.

This museum is situated in a han built by Bayaz Ahmet Efendi, a tobacco merchant, in 1909; It was turned into a museum by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality in order to introduce Gaziantep city culture and history. It has fine displays showing local handicrafts.
