Bila cahaya terhalang sesuatu benda maka akan timbullah bayangan dari benda penghalang itu. Jika sumber cahayanya lemah, seperti matahari pada hari berawan, bayangan tidak kentara English: Shadows occur when light is blocked by an object, then shadows are formed.
