Januar 2016 in Berlin. English: The Bauhaus Monument Federal School Bernau was founded by the Conference of Ministers of Education on the 1st. February 2016 nominated for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List for decision in 2017.
This is an application for the expansion of the already existing world heritage of the Bauhaus sites Weimar and Dessau. In addition to the "Federal School of the ADGB in Bernau near Berlin", the extension also includes the "Laubenganghäuser in Dessau-Roßlau". This is also related to the handover of the funding certificate for "Premium Projects" within the framework of the program "National Projects of Urban Development" by the Federal Minister of Construction Barbara Hendricks to the city of Bernau near Berlin on the 26th. January 2016 in Berlin. With 1.2 million euros, the Federal Ministry supports the monument-related redesign and renovation of the outdoor facilities in the monument area of the Federal School. The city provides another 600,000 euros. The redesign is about the access situation from Wandlitzer Chaussee via Fritz-Heckert-Straße to the Hannes-Meyer-Campus; the entrance area to the campus and the campus itself as well as the outdoor space left and right along the boarding school buildings of the Meyer-Wittwer-Bau. For this purpose, the association baudenkmal bundesschule bernau had presented an outdoor facility concept (master plan) two years ago with the support of the Stiftung Baudenkmal Bundesschule Bernau. The work will extend over a period of about two years. |
