Grand Blockhaus de Batz-sur-Mer. Ancien bunker du mur de l'Atlantique aujourd'hui transformé en musée. Ancien poste de tir de la Kriegsmarine édifié en 1942 sur le promontoire rocheux de la Dilane. La construction commence le 22 octobre 1942 et s'achève le 8 février 1943. Les premiers travailleurs utilisés viennent du camp du Pouliguen qui héberge 500 Nord-Africains qui resteront enfermés jusqu'en mai 1945. Viendront ensuite des ouvriers travaillant pour l'entreprise allemande Polensky et Zöllner, sous contrat avec l’Organisation Todt. L'Organisation Todt avait été fondée en 1938 par l'ingénieur militaire et nazi convaincu Fritz Todt, pour effectuer des grands travaux d'équipement tant civils que militaires. L'OT, formation paramilitaire, utilisa d'abord des chômeurs, puis après le déclenchement des hostilités, des prisonniers et des déportés. Polensky & Zöllner (PZ) était une entreprise de construction allemande basée à Francfort-sur-le-Main, fondée en 1880, elle a fait faillite en 1987. Elle comptait parmi les plus grandes entreprises européennes du secteur de la construction. Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, un des plus grands chantiers de construction mené par PZ a été la construction du bunker blindé à Mühldorf Hart, près de Mühldorf am Inn, où au moins 3076 travailleurs des camps de concentration et de travail ont péri. Après la guerre, la société participera à la reconstruction, puis plus tard à la construction d'édifices architecturaux comme le stade olympique de Munich.
