Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Photo illustrating the A27 battery size (also known as 27A, GP27A, MN27, L828, 8LR732, 22). This is a battery with 12 V nominal voltage, so internally has 8 cells.

Shows from left to right:

  • a disassembled infrared remote control from adjustable brightness home led lighting that uses an A27 battery,
  • two A27 size batteries (left one is probably mercury, right one is alkaline),
  • an A23 size battery for comparison (alkaline, A27 is easy to confuse with the more common A23 size because it's the same length and voltage),
  • a centimeter scale,
  • an AA battery for comparison (alkaline).
I made the photo on 2017-09-15.
