| Description |
English: Basterfield House, Golden Lane Estate The Golden Lane Estate is a product of the 1950s when it was built by the City of London on land that had been devastated in the blitz. The architecture may be modernist, and perhaps not to everyone's taste, but this is a very long way from being an inner-city sink estate as the picture demonstrates; it is clear that the flats and maisonettes are cherished by their owners and tenants. |
