Español: Este templo es uno de los más importantes en su tipo que existe en la Argentina.
La fachada, con su imponente atrio que avanza hacia la vereda ( ahora reemplazada, al igual que la calzada, por el Paseo de la Fe ) construido en 1995, en adhesión a las 300 años del traslado de la Sagrada imagen hasta su actual templo, por la Municipalidad de San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca) está enmarcando entre dos altas torres en sus extremos laterales, que culminan con un reducido frontis triangular, lo que da solemne grandiosidad al edificio sacro. El templo tiene una nave principal y dos laterales y cuenta con varias capillas intercomunicadas ( tres en el costado sur y cuatro en el norte). Los pisos fueron construidos con sólidos tablones de algarrobo, hoy de mosaico marmóreos con decoraciones geométricas. En 1869, la iglesia tenía tan sólo tres naves, pero surgieron dudas cerca de la solidez de la estructura. Por ello, la iniciativa del Vicario Segura y por consejo de técnicos, se levantaron las capillas laterales y los arbotantes volantes de los costados. Las dimensiones monumentales de la nave central reflejan la grandiosidad de la Basílica. Mide 58,50 m de largo, 9,65 m de ancho y 14,65 m de alto. El Altar Mayor fue realizado en mármol blanco de Carrara hacia 1875. Es una obra de rica ornamentación e incluye en su parte superior el trono de la Virgen del Valle. La Cúpula culmina a 42 m de altura. En su cúspide, se colocó, el 28 de marzo de 1869 y frente a una gran cincurrencia, una cruz de hierro enviada por el Dr. Filemón Posse desde Córdoba

Argentina has no "freedom of panorama" provision in its copyright law. At least some think there is de facto freedom of panorama in Argentina regarding buildings:
