Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bascote Locks No 17, near Long Itchington, Warwickshire There are four locks in the Bascote flight, the top two being built as a staircase. This is the view to the bottom lock (No 17) from Lock No 16. The puddles on the towpath show what the recent weather had been like, and the next few days was to prove even wetter! Splash Bridge No 29 (well named for this particular week!), is beyond the lock. The four locks change the water level altogether by 26ft 9in (about 8.2 metres).
