Description

Esta basílica, dedicada à Santíssima Trindade, com 8.633 lugares sentados e 40.000 m², uma obra da autoria do arquitecto grego Alexandros Tombazis. Foi inaugurada em 12 de Outubro de 2007, pelo Secretário de Estado do Vaticano, Cardeal Tarcisio Bertone, por ocasião do 90.º aniversário das aparições.

Trata-se do quarto maior templo católico do mundo em capacidade, tendo sido integralmente pago com dádivas dos peregrinos ao longo dos anos. A decoração é inspirada na arte bizantina e ortodoxa.
