Description
Español: La Basílica menor de Santiago Apóstol, inicia su construcción en 1522, pero no fue hasta cien años después que se culmina, siendo la primera que fundaron los colonizadores en el litoral pacífico americano convirtiéndose en modelo de arquitectura religiosa y pasando a ser patrimonio histórico mediante la Ley N° 61 de 1918. En 1908 y en 1924 se promulgan leyes para conservar el buen estado de esta Basílica, de manera que no se altere su aspecto ni se modifique el estilo de su construcción.
