English: Barrier by the road block. This is the sole remaining road block left from the second world war and Shillingford bridge, I certainly hope it is not removed in the renovation work. The road block would have been one of six here on the bridge and was covered by a six pounder gun in a pit on the other side of the river. 1223498 |
