English: Copper alloy
Key. Circular bit of a slide key, probably for a barrel padlock with an elongated T-shaped slot (Ottaway and Rogers 2002, fig. 1444). The bit features two rectangular slots set at right angles to each other; a straight round-section shank is broken. Suggested date: Medieval, 1100-1300.
Length: 43.31mm, Diameter of bit: 21.06mm, Thickness (shank): 5.18mm, Weight: 6.25gms.
