[edit]B. M. Clinednist, Sr. died on Friday, December 21, at his late residence in Washington City, D.C. He was born In Woodstock, Virgina, in 1837, and resided here until 1865. He was in tie Confederate army during the civil war. Mr. Cinedinst wan an innate artist, and after the war his artistic temperament inclined him to adopt photography, in which he was eminently successful in Washington City, D.C. From boyhood he bore an upright character, and those who knew him best, admired him most for his excellent qualities of manhood. Neither adversity nor success ever swayed him from the path of duty. The Master's injunction was his guiding star throughout life. "Well done, good and faithful servant," who has crossed the River of Rest. His wife and two sons survive, B. West Clinedinst of New York City, and B. M. Clinedinst, Jr., of Washington City.
