Besides the seven woodcuts, the album contains a title page bearing the following inscription: 'Die Wandlungen Gottes. Sieben Holzschnitte von Ernst Barlach.' The last page contains information regarding the edition, printing and numbering: 'Dieses Werk wurde in 110 Exemplaren hergestellt, von denen 100 in den Handel kamen. Die Holzschnitte wurden in der Pan-Presse mit der Hand auf kaiserliches Japan gedruckt und von Hermann Höchting in Berlin in echtes Pergament gebunden. Jedes Blatt ist von Ernst Barlach handschriftlich signiert. Auf besonderen Wunsch des Künstlers wurden für ihn und seinen Freundeskreis 11 Exemplare auf ein schweres altdeutsches Bütten abgezogen. Diese tragen die Nummern I-XI und sind nicht für den Handel bestimmt.'
