Summary
[edit]DescriptionBarking 2 railway station geograph-2203406.jpg |
English: Up Tilbury Line train leaving Barking for Fenchurch Street, 1955. View eastward, towards Barking station, Becontree (also Dagenham Dock and Tilbury), Southend and Shoeburyness. This is from the same Queens Road Bridge as in TQ4484 : Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness train approaching Barking and TQ4484 : Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness train approaching Barking but in the opposite direction. In 1955, the railway flyovers and the Barking Relief Road were not yet built, the Stanier 3-cylinder 4P 2-6-4Ts (here No. 42512) were still active and the old semaphore signals still dominated. |
