| Description |
English: Barics Mon - Anglesey Barracks This compound of two roomed units is located between the A3 incline pitch and the zig-zag path. They were built to house men whose homes were in Anglesey and who stayed at the quarry from early Monday morning to mid-day Saturday. Many other Anglesey workers had moved with their families into the nearby quarrying villages. They paid a rent for staying the barracks. Anglesey men came low in the pecking order, and were considered as 'culchies' by their Caernarfonshire co-workers. |
