Description Modern architecture in the Eastern Docklands of Amsterdam. The Barcelonaplein apartment building on KNSM-eiland (1993), designed by Belgian architect Bruno Albert. Beyond the gate, the Levantkade quay and Ertshaven harbour can be seen, and beyond that, Sporenburg island with the apartment building The Whale on the far right. Note the temporary pontoon bridge on the far left, constructed for the SAIL 2010 event.
