English: Cable ferry that was used to cross the Mira River, in the town of Odemira, in the region of Alentejo, in southern Portugal. Drawing by Caetano Alberto da Silva (1843-1924), based on a work by Henrique Pousão (1859-1884) This image was originally published in the Occidente magazine No. 62, of the 1st September 1880, and scanned by the Hemeroteca Municipal de Lisboa.
