Title
Barbed and tanged arrowhead
Description
English: Barbed and tanged flint arrowhead of Early Bronze Age date (2400 - 1000 BC). The flint is an opaque tertiary flake and is a mottled light brown colour. It is triangular in plan and lozenge shaped in section. The arrowhead has been bifacially worked with covering, scaled, low angle, soft hammer retouch and each long edge of the arrowhead is finely serrated. One barb is smaller than the other and both the barbs and the tang show evidence of being broken or snapped off. It is 23.3mm long x 16.5mm wide x 3.8mm thick and weighs 1.1g.
