Title |
Barbed and Tanged Arrowhead from Winterton |
||
Description |
English: Pale grey Flint
Arrowhead. Blade, tang and one barb of a barbed and tanged arrowhead. A thin flat flake, finely pressure-flaked on both sides, and fashioned with a V-shaped notch between the remaining barb and tang, and almost certainly originally the same on the opposite side. The missing barb appears to have been recently broken off, but the tip of the arrowhead was probably lost in antiquity. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, -2150 to -1500(BC).
Length: 23.81mm, Width: 19.97mm, Thickness: 3.24mm, Weight: 1.27gms. |
