Title
Barbed and Tanged Arrowhead
Description
English: Late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age complete barbed and tanged flint arrowhead. The tang is wide with a slightly irregular outline; the barbs are shorter, rectilinear in shape and angled outwards, to give the entire object a symmetrical kite-shaped appearance with one end a long point and the other a short, blunter point. Each long edge has a concave curve at the barb end and a slightly convex curve towards the point. The angles between barbs and tang are rounded. The flint is light brown, marbled with a little white on each face in the centre where the arrowhead is thickest.

Low-angle retouch covers both faces of the arrowhead. It is scaled in the centre, but along the edges of both faces is longer and neatly parallel, running perpendicular to the edge.
