Español: A los 22 años, se le presentó la oportunidad de abrir su propia academia de danza en Hermosillo, Sonora. Con el apoyo y la motivación de su tía, Bárbara emprendió este desafío. Fundar la Academia Bárbara Garza Ballet fue un proyecto retador, comenzando desde cero en una ciudad con una vibrante cultura de la danza pero también con las dificultades inherentes a la falta de apoyo total a las artes en el país.
“Emprender en el ámbito de la danza fue una experiencia gratificante pero complicada.” Bárbara comprendió que las artes requieren un gran esfuerzo y sacrificio, tanto de los padres como de los alumnos, para que sean valoradas como una carrera legítima. A pesar de estos desafíos, ella logró establecer una academia que ha estado funcionando con éxito durante 21 años. Aunque inicialmente pensó que su carrera principal sería como bailarina, Bárbara siempre disfrutó ser maestra. En Cuba, una de las materias que cursó le enseñó a impartir clases, y mientras se formaba como bailarina, también daba clases paralelamente. Esta experiencia le reveló su amor por la enseñanza. Al llegar a Hermosillo y comenzar a dar clases, se dio cuenta de cuánto disfrutaba este rol. |
