Description
English: Barbados Railway shortly after the change of gauge from 3'6" to 2'6" in 1898. Some ties (also known as sleepers) have been replaced, while others are still the previously used 3'6" ties with one rail moved inward. Photo courtesy Barbados Museum Historical Society.
