English: Cast copper alloy bar mount dating to the Post-Medieval period (1500-1700). The object is rectangular in cross section and consists of a long oval bar and a semi-circular projection. A broken rivet hole can be seen where the semi-circular projection terminates in a break. The upper surface is decorated with three rectangular panels which are decorated with cross-hatching. At the rounded end there is a circular perforation beyond which the object terminates in a rounded knop. Traces of gilding can be seen on the upper surface. The lower surface is flat and undecorated.
