Italiano: Fonte battesimale della basilica di S. Pietro, in porfido rosso. Era in origine il coperchio del sarcofago di Adriano, nel suo mausoleo. Portato nel quadriportico di S. Pietro e variamente usato come sepolcro, fu infine riconvertito in fonte battesimale da Carlo Fontana nel 1698. |
