English: Adansonia digitata L. (Malvaceae), commonly known as the Baobab tree is among the most popular tree species in the northern part of Ghana especially in the upper west region. From the leaves, the fruits, through to the roots of the tree, there are several benefits including health, diet, nutrition and fungi and bacteria control. It is essentially used in every aspect of the daily life of people including meals, treatment of diseases and infections.
