Français : Au premier plan à gauche est étendu sur une civière le corps sans vie de Charles Éléonor Dufriche-Valazé qui s'était poignardé dans la salle d'audience du Tribunal révolutionnaire à l'énoncé de la condamnation à mort. Il existe de cet événement légendaire plusieurs interprétations dont celle peinte par François Flameng (1856-1923), intitulée L'Appel des Girondins, le 30 octobre 1793 ou Le Dernier Repas des Girondins, interrompu par l’appel pour la guillotine, 31 octobre 1793 |
