Summary
[edit]DescriptionBanksia integrifolia monticola - Flickr - peganum.jpg |
In the proteaceae, very few get a mention as being at all hardy in the UK - a few Grevilleas, some Lomatias, some Hakea, maybe Telopea, Embothrium and Gevuina. That's about it. This is odd because there are Banksias in the coldest parts of Australia, used to more snow and ice than we get these days in southern England. This one was shot at Wakehurst a few years ago. I checked today and this one is still going strong. |
