[edit]DescriptionBanks in High Street, Shrewsbury - geograph.org.uk - 117158.jpg |
English: Banks in High Street, Shrewsbury. The Halifax Bank building was built as offices in1892. It is in Flemish Revival style. The ground floor is faced with granite, and above the doors the inscriptions 'Shropshire Fire Office' and 'Shropshire and North Wales' are carver in stone. The panel at the top of the gable bears the Salop arms. The Bradford and Bingley Bank building is modest in comparison.
