Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Alfred Seeligmann's bank in Karlsruhe, Kaiserstrasse 96, in 1916 when it was taken over by Mitteldeutsche Kreditbank. Posters in the shop windows say: "Draw War Bonds now". The lefthand side of the building had been let to the Moos family, renowned art dealers of Karlsruhe. Both Seeligmann and Moos were "aryanized" by the Nazis, i.e. robbed and driven out of the country. Some members of their families were murdered in the Shoah.
