English: Bank and ditch, Moat House, Honiley If filled with water, this substantial ditch would form a respectable moat. The mossy bank and wet ditch are in the grounds of a very secluded property at the corner of the A4177 and the Honiley turn. Pevsner's 'Warwickshire' refers to Moat Farmhouse, timber-framed, c.1500 with original roof-timbers. Located at 2¾ miles SE of Temple Balsall, this could be the site. Arden has many moated manors and farmhouses. |
