Português: A República de Honduras é um país independente, localizado no istmo da América Central e limitado a norte e leste pelo Oceano Atlântico, a sudeste pela Nicarágua, a oeste pela Guatemala e a sudoeste por El Salvador e pelo Oceano Pacífico. Sua área é de 112.492 km² (tamanho equivalente ao estado de Pernambuco), e a capital é a cidade de Tegucigalpa. A moeda local é o Lempira, e a língua oficial é o espanhol, falado por virtualmente todos os habitantes. A população total do país é de 7 milhões e 700 mil habitantes, e a maioria segue a religião cristã, de cunho católico ou protestante. |
