English: Wooden bandbox covered in wallpaper with pineapple pattern. Coloring of exposed areas much faded, better preserved paper sample with vivid coloring around rim. Turquoise-green background (light blue in exposed areas) with background fill of deep pink dots (white in exposed areas), white trailing leaves and flowers, bold repeating pattern of cluster of three pineapples in white and pinks with green leaves. Lined with newsprint: "Christian Panoply". Paper label inside lid: "Warranted/ Nailed/ Bandboxes/ Made by/ Hannah Davis". |
