Português: O Parque Estadual Dunas de Natal, mais conhecido simplesmente como Parque das Dunas ou Bosque dos Namorados, é uma reserva de 1.172 hectares de Mata Atlântica situada no coração da cidade de Natal, capital do estado brasileiro do Rio Grande do Norte. É administrado pelo Instituto de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Meio Ambiente (Idema). Criado através do Decreto Estadual nº 7.237 de 22 de novembro de 1977, o Parque das Dunas foi a primeira unidade de conservação ambiental implantada no estado do Rio Grande do Norte. É parte integrante da reserva da biosfera da Mata Atlântica reconhecida pela UNESCO e, por isso, declarada Patrimônio Ambiental da Humanidade. O parque distribui-se por vários bairros da zona sul e leste da cidade, se estendendo ao longo da Via Costeira, onde abriga também o Centro de Convenções de Natal. |
