English: Bamford's Covered Chain Pump, Lodsworth. This pump was made by Henry Bamford and Sons in about 1870 and now stands by the Hollist Arms. It was previously erected outside the present water pumping station between Lodsworth and the A272. It was used by drovers to fill a water trough for horses and cattle. It was restored by Ted Holmes, a Lodsworth resident in 1999. |
