. Many of the visitors brou^Vit amplebasket lunches with them and made apretty picture at the midday meal, servedon tables set in a pretty grove. Othersenjoyed the light refreshments provided bythe Veteran , hosts of the occasion or atethe special dinners served in the pavilion. The Presentation Two oclock saw the band, composed ofeighteen women members of the Balti-more and Ohio family at Willard, Ohio,marching into the special seats reservedfor them in the auditorium. The WillardBand, by the way, made a fine appearanceand a lasting impression. Their uniformof blue skirt, white blouse, red lined bluecape and tufted military cap, is trim andpretty. Their plaj-ing is good and theywere generous with their scjcctions. Thehonor of playing the overture was giventhem. ODonnell, general chairman of theCincinnati Veterans committee, opened thepresentation part of the program by intro-ducing Grand President Sturmer as masterof ceremonies. Mr. Sturmer reviewed thehistory of the Veterans Association and paida well merited compHment to the splendidhandling of the celebration by the Cin-cinnati Veterans. He then presented C.W. Galloway, vice president Operation andMaintenance, as one of the two honoredguests of the occasion. Mr. Galloways Address Mr. Galloway referred pleasantly to theenconiums heaped upon him by the masterof ceremonies and laughingly said thatsince it was impossible for him to answerall the things that had been said about himhe supposed the easiest way out was toadmit them. You have seen from the program,he continued, that President Willard wasexpected to deliver the principal addressof the afternoon. I saw him in New YorkMonday.
