Today, says the man who told me this story, andwho declares it is absolutely true, this young man ismaking his way to top rank in the navy. These were his reasons for thg defeat of the Armada:Seamanship. Marksmanship. Comradeship. Myopinion is that had he taken up the pen of a reporterinstead of that of a railroad clerk thirty-five years agohe would have made a fine record as a newspaper manand perhaps a fortune.
