Lower.left: What space on deck not given over to pens on the West Arrow was taken up by bales of sweet smelling hay. There was no lack of provender providedfor the cows, yet with them, as with people on an ocean voyage, we suppose that eating waited on appetite. Lower centre: Fore feet on the boat and hind feeton terra firma—a glimpse of the gangway built across Pier 9 at Locust Point from the dfoor of the stock car to the deck of the West Arrow. Thereport of our general live stock agent,R. A. Ebe, in regard to this move-ment is as brief as it is satisfactory,and reads as follows: April 13, 1921.
