Sheubridge,his daughter, grand-daughter and great grand-daughter. Mr. Sheubridge entered the serviceof the Baltimore and Ohio in 1862 and afterfifty-one years of faithful service was pensionedin June, 1914. He served in the capacity ofwater boy when he first became connectedwith the Company and by close applicationto his duties rose to the position of engineman. Mr. Sheubridge was born at Harpers Ferry in June, 1845, and, although seventy-three yearsold, is still hale and hearty. He operated thefirst engine to cross the new bridge at HarpersFerry and also engines No. 218 and 202, whichwere run upon the old bridge at the time of theJohnstown flood. It will be remembered thatseveral Baltimore and Ohio engines wererushed to the old bridge to prevent its beingwashed away. The great weight on the struc-ture proved effective.
