The boys of the shop and his many friends inthis city were shocked at the untimely deathof S. S. Parkison. He met with a fatal acci-dent at Mountain Lake Park, where he wasworking in a carpenter camp, several monthsago. Sam worked in this shop for a numberof years before going to the carpenter campand was popular with his associates. He wasa member of several fraternal organizations,

CHIEF CLERKS OFFICE, MOXOXGAH DIVISION Jeremiah Zepp, eighty-nine years old, diedat his home here on January 9. With UncleJerrys death there passes another pioneer ofthe Baltimore and Ohio. He served thisCompany for many years as engineer andcontimied in the service until advancing agecaused him to relinciuish the throttle. Threesons, engineer J. W. Zepp, conductor AndrewZepp, and conductor J. Albert Ze))p, are per-petuating his years of faithful service to ourroad. The funeral took place on January 12. Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Hartley, the wife ofretired conductor James Hartley, died at herhome in this city on January 14. Mrs. Hartleywas a member of the Ladies Au.xiliary of theOrder of Railway Conductors. The funeraltook place on January 17. in whose councils he will be missed. Thesympathy of his fellow employes is extended tothe stricken widow in her hour of greatesttrial. John W. Myers, a carpenter in the shoj),died in Hcdgesville, W.
