Mr. Grice, one thing Jerry would notforget to do, w-as to send gas shells over to usregularly. The most of their shells were mus-tard gas. That kind of gas eats into yourflesh where it is damp or wet. Even if youhave your mask on and your face and hm^sprotected, it will eat through your clothingany place your body is moist. When a mustardgas shell explodes it sends out a spray of smalldrops and before reaching the ground theyevaporate and form the gas. We have to take^ cry good care of our masks. They are a partof ourselves and no one would dare to carrythem in any way except in alert position. The helmets are hard to wear.
