Theboys gave a demonstration of scout-craft, such as signalling by means offlags; demonstration in knot tying; dem-onstration of first aid to injured and Captain of Police Charles Horn, ofthis Division, has resigned to accept theposition of special agent with the S. A.L. R, R. He will assist G. S. Ward inorganizing the police department on thatline. Captain Horn first entered theservice of the B. & O. as patrolman atPittsburgh, February 2nd, 1902; waspromoted to lieutenant September, 1902,and to captain of police, ConnellsvilleDivision, April, 1903, being transferredto the Baltimore Division on July 1st,1907. Captain Horn leaves this divisionwith best wishes for success in his newfield of employment. G. R. Talcott, assistant division engi-neer, has been transferred to office ofengineer M. of W., in charge of efficiencywork in the maintenance of way depart-ment. He is succeeded by E. H.
