Description:

Balsamaire à panse sphérique muni d'un haut col droit, d'une lèvre ourlée et d'un fond arrondi. Commentaire historique:

Ce type d'objet doit être rattaché aux soins du corps et aux cosmétiques : l'étranglement du col sert à contrôler le débit des onguents ou huiles parfumées. Certains balsamaires ont également été trouvés avec une spatule placée à l'intérieur, spatule qui devait être utilisée comme applicateur. Ces formes se multiplient dans la deuxième moitié du Ier siècle sur tout le territoire de l'Empire et se raréfient au début du IIe siècle.
